We are once again happy to invite you for the annual NVTB-retreat on the 1st and 2nd of June, 2017 in Schoorl. At this retreat scientists and students working in Theoretical Biology will present and discuss their research in an informal atmosphere.

The meeting starts on Thursday June 1st at 11:15 (registration is open from 10:30), and ends on Friday June 2nd, in the late afternoon. As in previous years, the meeting is held at Dopersduin, located at the edge of the dunes of Schoorl. Full registration includes tea/coffee, breakfast and other meals, and an overnight stay at Dopersduin.

On Thursday evening we will have the annual meeting (general assembly) with members of the NVTB. After this meeting we traditionally take a long, nocturnal hike to the beach and back.

We invite you to submit an abstract for giving a talk. You may choose between a short (10 min + 5 min discussion) talk, or a normal one (20 min + 5 min discussion). We encourage young scientists (master students and PhD students) to apply for talks, also to present unfinished work. The deadline for abstract submission is May 12th. You will be notified by May 20th whether your submission has been accepted. The final program, including all abstracts, will be sent to NVTB members and subscribers to the meeting by e-mail.

The deadline for ordinary registration is May 25th.

How to get there?

Schoorl is situated in the northern part of the province Noord Holland, near the city of Alkmaar. It is separated from the coast by the widest and highest dune range in the Netherlands ("Schoorlse duinen").
